The Hon. Bill Shorten MP, Leader of the Opposition, and the Hon. Jenny Macklin MP, Shadow Minister for Families, Payments and Disability Reform, invite you to attend the launch of "Labor's Agenda for Tackling Inequality".
The Chifley Research Centre is the Australian Labor Party's official think tank. Our vision is to foster a flourishing culture of ideas in the ALP. We want our party to nurture and reward good thinkers just as we do for our campaigners and community representatives.
There's a lot of work to do in order for us to succeed in this. We advocate for Labor values, publish new political and policy ideas, broaden and deepen Labor's connection to progressive civil society, network and mentor thinking labour people, promote Labor's history of ideas and achievement - and provide direct policy advice to Labor's parliamentary leadership and team.
It's a big project and that means we need a heap of help. You can join in our work by contributing ideas to our blog, sharing our ideas online or in your own community, and attending our occasional events to join in the conversation and support other Labor thinkers. And of course, above all else, you can contribute your financial support.
